Featured in this lot is this sterling silver and needle point sleeping beauty turquoise bracelet from Navajo artist Fred Harvey era, circa 1930's. The bracelet shows sterling silver construction with a split sterling silver bar frame and 18 total needle point sleeping beauty turquoise stones centered on a tooled frame with two small round cut turquoise cabochons on the shoulders of the bracelet. Fred Harvey jewelry was made for the Anglo tourist along the Santa Fe railroad lines, in hotels and retail shops run primarily by the Fred Harvey Company. Harvey hired Navajo silversmith to create decorative symbolized jewelry for the tourist trade. Fred Harvey era jewelry is widely collected and sought after. It is easy to wear, and generally with a fair amount of ornamentation and stamping. The bracelet shows fair overall condition with one missing needle point cabochon but otherwise in fair overall condition The measurements of this bracelet are 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and the circumference is 4 1/4". The collective weight of this bracelet is 8.1g.
