For your consideration is this Navajo Female Yei Be Chei Corn People rug. This is a wonderful example of Navajo Yei or Yei Be Chei (Holy People) rug showing three female figures holding up wands and tending a single corn stock centered on this rug with a black and red dazzler border with a grey field with great attention to detail given to the figures themselves. The Yeibichai weavings are highly individual, therefore, different elements may be found in them. Male Yeis have round heads and Female Yeis have square heads. Other elements included may be: gourds, ruffs of spruce around the neck, fox pelts, moccasins, woven garters or sashes, arrows, corn, clouds, stars, and more. The condition of this rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows wonderful stark contrasting coloration with good overall display condition. The measurements of this Navajo Yei rug are 19 1/2" x 15 1/2"
