Napoleonic era officer’s style high grade pistol with attributed signature “Boutet” on lock and barrel. The pistol measures 14” overall with 7-1/2” medium weight octagon barrel, swamped at the muzzle, microgroovedand approx. .48 caliber. The pistol is full stocked to the muzzle in good quality walnut with horn forend cap and ramrod tip. The pistol shows silver over wood triggerguard with nicely engraved lion, empire period urnon finial, and back of guard is horn. The buttcap is horn with a silver inlay that is finely engraved. The ramrod pipes are horn and silver combination. The escutcheons are silver and are nicely engraved. There issilver wire inlay between the lockplate screws down the backstrap and the grip is carved and silver pinned. The pistol shows a set trigger and false Damascus pattern barrel. Condition is good to very good withsome light cleaning.
