Napoleonic era Hussar’s saber with blue and gilt blade with original scabbard. The grip is fluted and darkened horn and the blade is in good condition showing traces of original blue with most of its original gold gilt. There is someslight staining and minor pitting and erosion but still shows most of its original polish and full dimensions. The scabbard is in very good condition showing 30% to 50% gold gilt on mounts with good leather body. There is an unidentifiable mark onthe top of the spine which may be a stylized C in a fancy engraving. The sword measures 33 ½” overall with nearly a 29” blade. Est.: $2750-$5500
