Blair purchased the car in 1995 from Jim Clayton of Lloydminster Saskatchewan and owned it until his death from cancer in May of 2018. His children are selling the car as part of his Estate Settlement.
The car is Alberta Registered and is free from any liens with a clear title. The car is original including power brakes, bench seats, dash, gauges, clock, deluxe steering wheel, AM radio, 2-speed automatic transmission, all fenders, panels, doors, trunk-lid, tailgate, roof, suspension and electrical.
The 322 Nailhead V8 engine is original with a 2-speed automatic original transmission with standard differential. Engine comp ratio is 8.9:1 stock. Powertrain is all original. Engine compartment is nicely painted and detailed. The chrome and grill is original and in excellent condition. The original wheel discs are on the car. The tires and tread are in very good condition and were recently purchased.
Previous to Blair purchasing the car, complete paint and body was done on the Buick, which still shows very well. Dual exhaust was added. The original colour of the car was pink and it is now painted a nice metallic blue. Alignment is straight, along with the body of the car. The frame and floor show very good and are original. The underneath has been undercoated previously.
The glass is all in very nice condition for the original. Most of the interior in the car has been done in the past. The seats have been recovered in a very nice material along with the trunk carpet. The headliner shows well and is original. The arm rests, step plates and door panels are original along with all weather-stripping and mouldings. The body style on these Buick Specials was very nice and unique.
