Original superhero tunic worn by "Mr. Terrific", played by Stephen Strimpell in the television sitcom 'Mr. Terrific' (1966-1967), which follows Stanley Beamish, the weakling proprietor of a Washington gas station, is also a top-secret super agent. When the Government's Bureau of Special Projects needs Stanley, he takes a pill that gives him an hour's worth of strength, courage and flying time.
The show was an attempt to capitalize on the "camp superhero" craze sparked by the success of the 1966 Batman TV series.
