Movie prop flintlock rifle made from a U.S. Springfield Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 caliber, 32.5ā€ round barrel, non-firing, wood full length stock, S/N 258413, with modern leather sling. This prop gun is in overall fair to good condition with a working action, dark bore, plum brown patina mixed with some original finish, brass cast flintlock hammer and frizzen; heavily worn and modified stock with ā€œSā€ stamped on the right side of the butt stock, likely identifying this as a prop previously maintained in the famous Stembridge Armory, provider of props to all the major motion picture studios during the first half of the 20th Century. Est.: $150-$300.
