The shotgun features a 20" barrel, internal 2 shot magazine, hardwood stock, front bead sight, 3" chamber, and blue'd finish. The Mossberg 183 is a .410 bore bolt action shotgun, produced between 1947 and 1971 by O.F. Mossberg & Sons in New Haven, Conn. The shotgun features good condition for its age. Missing butt pad. The mechanics are functional but stiff. The bore is shiny, but looks to need cleaning. This shotgun was manufactured from 1953-1956. Curio & Relic firearm.
