Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
Size 8 beautiful piece of Morenci Turquoise cut in an oval cabochon and set in a very unique and unusual sterling setting. Morenci turquoise mine is now buried under tons of rocks and will never be reopened, this turquoise is becoming highly sort after as availability becomes more scarce. The cabochon measures 17.9 mm x 13.3 mm, the overall ring measures 32.7 mm x 15 mm and weighs 15.2 g. Ring is stamped sterling but is not signed by the artist.
