This is an original postcard for the November 21-24, 1968, concerts at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, California, featuring the Moody Blues, Chicago Transit Authority, and Frumious Bandersnatch.

The art is a joint venture between two of the giants of rock art, Rick Griffin and Alton Kelley. The central image to this piece is a take off on an old advertising character called "Peter Pain", which was featured in vintage ads for Ben Gay products.

The Moody Blues were one of the most well known bands of the 60's and 70's with a portfolio of very popular FM fare. Chicago eventually dropped "Transit Authority" and went on to mainstream fame with a softening of the sound they produced at this point in time. Guitarist Terry Kath is very underrated among his peers in terms of the general public's awareness. Check out the solo on YouTube from the July 21,1970, performance of "25 or 6 to 4" for a little historical perspective!

This card is in MINT condition with sharp corners, and no creases, dings, pinholes or other flaws. This postcard measures 4 5/8" x 7" with clean bright colors.

This is an original pre-concert first printing, catalogued as BG146 in the Bill Graham series.
