This is a NR.MT original pre-concert first print concert poster from November 21-24, 1968, featuring the Moody Blues, Chicago Transit Authority, and Frumious Bandersnatch, at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, California.
The art on this fabulous piece is a joint venture between two of the giants of rock art, Rick Griffin and Alton Kelley. The central image is a take off on an old advertising character called "Peter Pain", which was featured in vintage ads for Ben Gay products.
The Moody Blues were one of the most well known bands of the 60's and 70's with a portfolio of very popular FM fare. Chicago eventually dropped "Transit Authority" and went on to mainstream fame with a softening of the sound they produced at this point in time. Guitarist Terry Kath is very underrated among his peers in terms of the general public's awareness. Print runs for the BG series are said to be around 3500 for the first printings. This is an over 50 year old original in fantastic shape, the colors are bright, the corners are sharp, and there are no flaws, cuts, nicks, bends, or creases.

The winning bidder is not entitled to possession until all items have been paid for in full.
Invoices will be sent within 24 hours of the auction close. Credit cards on file will be charged 72 hours after the close, if other arrangements (i.e. paypal, etransfer, etc) are not confirmed by email by the purchaser.
In the event that the purchase prices are not paid within 72 hours (unless email arrangements are made), the auctioneer shall have the right to resell such items in whatever manner he sees fit without notice to the purchaser.
All costs and responsibilities of removal shall be borne by the winner bidder within the time prescribed by the auctioneer.
The winning bidder hereby indemnifies the auctioneer and the vendor against any and all damages arising from the dismantling and removal of any lots.
Any lots not removed within the prescribed time shall be deemed as abandoned. The auctioneer shall have the right to resell or dispose of such items in whatever manner he sees fit without notice to the purchaser.
If for any reason, Galaxy Auctions Canada is unable to deliver any or all of an awarded lot or title thereof, the sole liability of Galaxy Auctions Canada shall be the refund of any monies paid on the lot.
It is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder to remove their items within the prescribed time.
Galaxy Auctions Canada is not responsible for shipping Carrier's lost or damaged items.
If shipping is not arranged within 72 hours the buyer agrees the auctioneer may auto ship all items at the buyers expense.
