Montana's Custer's Last Stand Reenactment Posters
Offered in this lot are three posters from the Custer's Last Stand Re-enactment in Hardin, Montana. These posters are from the 1996, 1997, and 1998 re-enactments. The 1996 poster shows a poster colored one color on the Native American side and one color on the "Custer's" side. The poster shows the dates and place of the re-enactment to take place, as well as the name of Tribal Elder Joseph Medicine Crow, who would tell the story. The 1997 poster is similar to the 1996 one in that the boarder on one side is colt revolvers and on the other side is tomahawks. Joseph Medicine Crow is again the story teller. The 1998 poster is different as it shows a photograph from a previous re-enactment of the battle. With over twenty four people and seventeen horses in this one small photograph, the chaos of the full battle can only be hinted at. All three of these posters measure 17" X 11" and are framed in plexiglass; they are in very good condition. The three posters are a set.
