This is an exceptional rare Montana Yogo Color Change Sapphire which comes with a gemology report from GIA and is 0.70 carats. The piece comes with a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report which states the piece as being an authentic Yogo Gulch Natural Sapphire Corundum with no heat treatment having an excellent octagonal step modified brilliant cut (princess cut) with wonderful clarity and a size of 0.70 carats. This example is a very rare Color Change Yogo Sapphire, a truly unusual and scarce example. The Montana Yogo Sapphire is a corundum stone found only in the Yogo Gulch, part of the Little Belt Mountains in Judith Basin County, Montana. The stone is known for its astounding cornflower blue coloring, a result of trace amounts of iron and titanium. The stone is currently loose and has not been set for the buyer’s convenience allowing the buyer to set the piece in any manner or style of their choosing. The ring has been examined by an expert and confirmed to be an authentic high quality Yogo. The stone was given an informal sale value of over $7,000 due to its wonderful size, rare color change aspect and incredible clarity by Baker’s Jewelry of Glasgow, MT.
