Offered in this lot we have a limited edition print and belt buckle by Dave Malone titled "The Montana Westerner" circa 1983. Maloney is a professional Montana artist known for his landscapes and depictions of wildlife and operates out of Great Falls, Montana. The set shows the image of a Montana trapper on horse back with a pack horse following behind. The trapper is shown in leathers and a beaver skin hat with a rifle resting on his lap. The background shows a forested area with some dead or fallen trees and mountains rising in the distance. The front of the pieces shows a mostly open scroll reading "The Montana Westerner" with Maloney's signature below it in the print and above it in the buckle. The print is set into a black frame with white border around the print. The buckle marked across the back reading "1983 Limited Edition No. - of 550" with additional information on the piece. The buckle shows solid brass construction with the buckle and print showing good condition overall. The frame measures 15 3/4" wide by 12 3/4" tall with the print measuring 10 1/2" wide by 8" tall and the buckle measures 3 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" tall.
