Modified British Webley Mark 1 Double Action Revolver, with Holster, #15342, .45 ACP cal., 2.4" barrel, blued finish, black plastic grips, blade front sight and fixed "U"-notched rear sight. Marked on left-side frame "WEBLEY PATENTS" around "MARK 1". Left-side barrel top strap stamped with Victorian proof and view stamps. Royal Navy issue "N" stamp on top of grip swell and on left side of frame. Large "Broad Arrow" symbol engraved into top of barrel strap. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, and (partially) on edge of cylinder. Revolver has been modified by milling off the rear of the cylinder to chamber the .45 ACP cartridge. Barrel has been shortened and the top rib cut to accept the front sight. Condition overall is good as modified, with the metal retaining approx. 50% finish showing dents and areas of patina. Right-side grip has been repaired on the bottom edge, otherwise the grips are good, showing fading, chips, and flattening to the checkering. Action locks up tight and operates smoothly; bright bore is very good, chambers are clean and bright. "ENGLAND" import stamp on left side of barrel. The Canadian made holster is partially ink stamped on the inside flap "ZL&T.LTD/1943/C Broad Arrow" stamp. It has been cut down to fit the modified revolver. Holster condition is very good with a bright color, showing light stains to the exterior. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R/PPT)
