Model 1894 Krag rifle by Springfield Armory arsenal converted from ramrod bayonet to standard cleaning rod style, serial number 6225. The rifle remains in original good condition showing strong traces of blue and case hardened finish on theaction going mostly to a gray patina with some light to moderate pitting and erosion on the barrel. The stock is good with some dings, mars and small losses and a light cartouche above the trigger on the left side which is dated 1894. Thestock shows some expert wood restoration just beneath the trigger guard and some light refinishing that was carefully done and did not remove the original cartouche. The action is good and the bore is very good. Est.: $2,000-$4,000
