Mississippi rifle by Tyron of Philadelphia, dated 1844,bored out to .58 cal. with no traces of rifling visible. The markings are good, wood is good to very good with a trace of cartouche, small losses at the edges andalong the ramrod channel. Ramrod is of the period with steel tip. "J.H." and "P" proofs at the breech. Extra nipple in the box. Some weathering around the inside edge of butt. An acceptable gun with good dateslightly before the Mexican War. Est. $800-1,600.

Buyer pays all cost of materials, handling, packing etc. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
