Mid-eastern flintlock snaphance rifle, flared muzzle to the barrel, 57” overall with a 43” barrel, ten ornamented tin barrel bands, bone inlaid wood stock. This antique could probably tell some interesting stories if it could talk . . . in overall worn but complete and untouched condition showing a dark patina to the iron lock mechanism that is working but does not stay on full cock; the barrel shows a grey patina with scattered areas of erosion; the stock is dry and shows missing inlays and losses to the butt of the stock with the remaining inlays showing wear and tribal artistry; stock also displays old iron tacks and iron decorations. A classic example of a “camel gun”. Est.: $250-$500.
