Included in this lot we have a pair of MAR toys tank and truck military vehicle toys originating from the mid 20th century. Louis Marx and Company was an American toy manufacturer in business from 1919 to 1980. Its products were often imprinted with the slogan, "One of the many Marx toys, have you all of them?" Arguably, Marx was the most well-known toy company through the late mid 20th century. Marx offered a variety of tin vehicles, from carts to dirigibles — the company would lithograph toy patterns on large sheets of tin plated steel. These would then be stamped, die-cut, folded, and assembled. The pair consist of a tin mechanical tank and a plastic Fire Control Anti-Aircraft truck. The toys where manufactured by MAR Toy Company. The Tank shows a camo printed exterior and a movable main gun and side panels with gears and coiled spring on the interior. The truck shows a olive green plastic exterior with white letting reading "Fire Control - Anti-Aircraft Unit NO. 12" with a coil spring on the back wheels. The top of the truck shows a rotating platform with the base of a water canon and a gun attached to the front hood. The pieces show Fair condition overall with the tank missing a tread and the mechanics not working and the truck is missing some accessory parts and the main water canon. The tank measures 9 3/4" long by 5 1/2" wide and 5 1/4" tall with the truck measuring11 3/4" long by 3 1/2" wide and 4 3/4" tall.
