Mid 18th century Flintlock Horseman's size pistol converted to percussion, signed "L Lehanne a Creveld". The pistol measures 18" overall with 11-1/2" octagon barrel of approx. 45 caliber smooth bore. The pistolshows engraved iron mounts, set trigger, folding rear sight. The pistol was originally fitted with a key type socket for shoulder stock and a period engraved plaque inlayed during period of use to cover thisarea. The tang area is nicely raised carved in a floral design. The metal surfaces show a brown patina with some minor pitting and erosion. The stock is good to very good with some normal imperfections and aging. Action good, set trigger works. Est.;$700-$1,400.
