Mexican Dragoon’s saber circa 1830-1860’s, approx. 34” overall with a 28” blade, four piece iron guard, wire-wrapped bone/ivory grip with brass pommel; blade shows dark patina with interesting feathered arrow marking at ricasso, detail line to both sides near spine, scalloped guard with crosshatch and details to secondary guard much in the style of period and regional made spurs; in overall good condition showing many old small nicks along the cutting edge of the blade; one iron member of the guard has gone missing; beautiful patina overall.
