Merwin & Hulbert .22 caliber 7-shot revolver closely resembling 1st model 3rd issue Smith & Wesson, nickel plated, ivory grips, 3” barrel, 7” overall, serial #118. This rare M&H shows 90-95% original nickel, some slight erosion and aging just starting with no cleaning and polishing and soft satin nickel. The barrel shows Merwin, Hulbert & Co NY address. The grips are very good plus to near fine with just slight age cracks and patina. The action is crisp, the bore is good. A very scarce Merwin & Hulbert which is seldom encountered and almost unknown to cartridge revolver collectors. We have only seen three in 40 years that were marked. Est: $1,250 -2500
