Merkel high-grade over/under 12ga two-barrel set showing 28” and 30” set of barrels, ventilated ribs, single trigger, auto-ejector, ornate scroll engraved actions with sideplates and right sideplate showsfinger-lever release for inspecting spring. The gun remains in very good to near fine used condition showing 92-96% original blue. Factory satin finish on frame toning slightly. 95% blue on triggerguard. Stocksshow some slight use, crisp checkering, and are very good plus to near fine overall. The buttstock measures 14” to the end of the wood, 14-3/4” to the end of a hard-rubber recoil pad. The 28” barrels are chokedModified over Improved Cylinder, the 30” barrels are choked Improved Modified over Improved Cylinder. The barrels show postwar nitro proofs for full-length shells.
