Maynard Civil War carbine, .50 caliber percussion, blue and case hardened finish, cartouched wood stocks, serial #13580. The carbine remains in good to very good original condition showing 20-30% original blue andcase hardening drifting to patina, some scattered light to moderate erosion and pitting. Most of the heavier pitting on the forward area of the barrel. The breech on left side shows an “AJN” inspection. Thestocks are good to very good with two sharp cartouches, some dings, mars, indentations and scratches consistent with Civil War storage and use. The markings are good, bore near excellent.
