For your consideration is a Mauser KKW Cadet .22 German Training Rifle. This Mauser KKW is a single shot, .22 caliber rifle that was introduced in 1938. It is virtually identical to the Karabiner 98k. These cadet rifles were used by all German military, paramilitary and police organizations, especially the Hitler Youth. They were a low cost alternative to using standard ammunition to train troops with and they duplicated the size, weight, and feel of a standard 98K rifle. The top of the receiver ring is marked with the "Mauser Banner" logo and the rear bridge is marked "MAUSER-WERKE,A.-G.-OBERNDORF A/N.". The left rear side of the barrel is marked "Kal 22 LANG FUR BUCHSEN" This rifle is a single shot .22 caliber. It features a 26" round blue'd barrel with fixed front sight. This rifle also features an adjustable rear ladder sight. The straight grain walnut stock are in good condition and features the original leather sling. The receiver and barrel feature various stamped proof marks. Serial Number: 4785. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
