Massive spear point Bowie knife with fancy cast German silver mounts showing The Helmeted Goddess of Liberty on pommel and Eagles within scrolls surrounding the guard. The knife is gripped with bone or Marine ivory grips scales. The knife measures 19” overall with unsigned 13 ¾” blade with a spear point. The blade is of thick stock and measuring almost 1/8” thick at the hilt and almost 1 ½” wide. The blade shows some minor pitting and erosion but is at least very good overall. The original scabbard is retained and marries to the hilt. The scabbard is in very good condition with some minor cracks, small losses, and retains its original throat and tip. Although it’s unsigned this is a very impressive Bowie with great American motifs and a knockout pommel. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
