Massive German J.J. Reeb Bolt Action Rifle
Shrouded pin front and notch rear sight on a barrel marked "J.J. REEB, HOF-BUCHSENMACHER. BONN. A/RH" on the top flat. J.J. Reeb was a German gun maker to the Kaiser in Bonn. The rifled barrel gauges at approximately .69 caliber. The rifle has double set triggers, a spur trigger guard, and sling swivels. The half-stock has a checkered wrist and a smooth Schnabel forearm with a smooth buttplate and a single barrel wedge.

Condition: Good. The rifle has a smooth brown patina with even minor spotting with some minor pitting on the rear of the receiver. The stock is poor with numerous handling marks overall with a few minor cracks, dents and gouges. The forearm has a couple repaired chips, a large chip missing on the right side and a 9 1/2" long chunk of wood missing from the left side. The buttstock has a large chip missing from the comb and a series of gashes on the left side. There is some bruising in the overall crisp wrist checkering.
