Massive 7-shot hand revolved center hammer Flintlock pistol signed Hunter, circa about 1810-1830 with British proofs. The pistol measures approximately 9-1/2" overall with 3-1/2" barrel group mounted in a cluster andall of 8.5mm false rifled. The metal surfaces show a gray patina with some erosion and all the original small parts are retained. The right side of the frame where the signature is engraved shows some pitting, and the metal surfaces are generally good with a few areas of light pitting. The stocks show some scratches and mars. An absolutely original and rare pepperbox that was last sold in the Francis Fowler MuseumAuction 1985. A very rare pepperbox and oddity. Est.: $4,250-$8,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
