The mountings are brass and it has a wooden ram rod with a swollen tip. The iron parts were finished bright. The left rear of the barrel is marked "462" ahead of a recessed "US" and "eagle head P". Mounted with a full walnut stock with a circled "V" over an oval "SW" cartouche.
