Martial Colt Model 1860 Army percussion revolver, .44 cal., 8” barrel, cut for shoulder stock, wood grips, #96340 in overall very good condition with all matching visible numbers and accompanied by a factory letter indicating shipment to the Commanding Officer of the Frankford Arsenal, Bridesburg, Pennsylvania, February 17, 1863, 1,000 guns in shipment. The gun displays an even brown patina on metal surfaces, crisp action and markings including inspector’s initials on various parts, majority of original cylinder scene, generally good bore, very good grips with remnants of both inspector’s cartouches; classic muzzle wear to the right side of the barrel.
