Marlin model 1897 lever-action rifle, .22 short, long, and long rifle. Takedown frame, 24” half round, half octagon barrel, full magazine, factory engraved, blue and case hardened finish, checkered wood stock, hard-rubber shotgun-type buttplate, Lyman tang sight and folding beech front sight. Serial #208232. The rifle remains in near fine original condition showing 90-95% original blue on barrel, slightly thinning at the edges. 75-85% blue on magazine tube. The frame shows 60-70% case hardening, the hammer and lever show 20-30% case hardening. There is some dried oil that has darkened and turned a dark brown that could be removed. The engraving is typical factory with scroll and deer on left, and light scrolls on right. The stocks are very good plus with 75-85% varnish, some minor dings, mars, normal handling. The original buttplate is intact, the markings are sharp, the action is crisp, the bore is near excellent. A very nice little rifle that are scarce factory engraved. Est: $7,000 - $14,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
