Marlin model 1893 lever-action rifle, .38-55 caliber, 26” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, blue and case hardened finish, serial #307611. The rifle remains in very good to near fine original condition with85-95% original blue on barrel and magazine tube, evenly thinning and toning slightly with a couple of small losses, some scratches, and some or two nicks on the edge of the barrel. The barrel address is sharpand crisp, barrel shows special smokeless steel marking, which was a marketing gimmick by Marlin at the turn of the century. The frame shows 70-80% case hardening toning slightly, good strong case hardening onhammer and lever also. The stocks are good to very good with a couple of small chips, one larger chip in the left forend, minor handling, but at least very good overall. The action is good, bore is very good plus andstill bright. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $850 - $1,700
