Marlin model 1893 lever-action rifle, .25-36 Marlin caliber, 26” octagon barrel, full magazine, serial #368933. The barrel shows 80-90% original blue, the magazine tube has drifted to traces of blue. The frame shows30-50% case hardening drifting to silver. There is some light scattered erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The barrel address and markings are good, left side of the barrel is marked special smokeless steel. The stock shows some light cleaning and a loss of wood at the left top edge where the forend meets the frame, approx. 1-1/2” by 4mm at its widest point. The sights are old period replacements in the correct dovetails, front sight is marked “Savage”. The action is good, bore very good and still bright. Est: $500 - $1,000
