Marlin model 1881 special order rifle, .45-70 cal. 28" octagon barrel, full magazine, shotgun butt with metal butt plate, doubleset trigger, Freund marked rear sight with matching large blade front sight in correctfactory dove tails, #41088. The rifle shows 50-70% original blue on barrel and magazine tube drifting and toning with some patina mixed in; the frame shows 10-20% blue in a light patina with traces of mottled casehardening on hammer, lever, forend, forend cap. The stocks are good to very good with normal wear, small chips and losses, scratches and about 30% varnish; the action is good, the bore is very good, still bright. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
