Marlin Model 39A, .22 long rifle caliber lever action, serial number B887 with blue and case hardened finish in near fine original condition. The barrel and magazine tube show 90% to 95% plus original blue finish with some minor scratches and slight losses at the edges. The frame shows 80% to 90% original case hardening with bright and vivid rainbow colors just starting to mute and tone slightly. The hammer shows some minor scratches on its sides. The rifle has been mounted with a period Redfield receiver site and front sight in the original dovetail. The rear sight is missing. The stock is near fine with some minor scratches and losses around a butt plate area of the original varnish. The butt plate is a hard rubber replacement from a Browning by FN. The action is crisp and the interior is near excellent. A very pretty little rifle that would improve with minor restoration of the butt plate to Marlin type. Est.: $500-$1,000
