Offered for sale is an excellent rare Marlin Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle chambered in .22 long rifle caliber. The rifle features a 24" octagon barrel, adjustable pronghorn rear sight by Marbles Gladstone Michigan U.S.A., German silver front blade, full length tube magazine, takedown special-order design, and blue'd finish. This rifle is in good condition, with handling marks and wear to finish. The mechanics are tight and smooth. The bore is shiny with good rifling, has some pitting. It looks to have four drilled and tapped holes on the barrel. The barrel is marked, “Marlin Firearms Co. NEW HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PAT’D NOV. 19. 1878. APRIL 2. 1889, AUG. 12. 1890, MAR. 1. 1892.” The rifle was manufactured from circa 1907 to 1920’s. This is a Curio & Relic firearm, FFL transfer or NICS background check required.
