Marlin Model 1889 special order lever action rifle, .38-40 cal., 28" octagon barrel, full magazine, select checkered pistol grip stock, rifle butt plate, factory style engraved, #114251. The rifle shows a pleasinguncleaned patina finish with considerable blue and case hardening mixed in the patina perhaps as much as 10-20%. The metal surfaces are fairly sharp, the markings are good, the edges are good, the engraving iswell defined and definitely of the period of the style attributed to the Ullrich's. The left side of the frame shows a young stag in a circular vignette, surrounded by light scroll and border engraving. The stocks show wear to the checkering, a chip on the right side by the action, some even wear, minor scratches and a couple of compression-type age cracks, but generally good overall. The action is tight, the bore shows some wear and is only fair. Est.: $3,000-$6,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
