This lot features a Unique Scarce Marlin Model 120 MXR Magnum 12 Gauge 40" Barrel Shotgun. The shotgun features a 40" barrel, fixed full choke, walnut stock, cross bolt safety, and a blue'd finish. The Marlin Model 120 MXR Magnum shotgun was made from 1974 to 1975. There were a total of 6,984 of the 40 inch barreled guns made at that time. It sold for $158.95 in 1974. The 40 inch barrel was advertised by Marlin to "reach out for the long ones, and shoots quieter and balances surprisingly well." The shotgun shows good condition, with wear to the finish and handling marks. The mechanics are smooth and tight. The bore is shiny. This is a Modern firearm.
