Signed lower right A. Bower, Alexander Bower lived at Cape Elizabeth, Maine, studied at the Penn. Academy of Fine art with Thomas Anschutz, exhibited at the Carnegie Institute, National Academy of Design from 1911 to 1950. Born in 1875, died 1952. The watercolor painting on paper shows the coastal sea crashing against the rocks, good original condition with an old if not original frame. Image size is 27" wide by 19 1/2" tall. The effect of light on the rocks and water is extremely well done, the execution is tightly completed and the overall impact of the painting is dramatic.

Fourth: Shipping. We will try and work with you on shipping. On small objects, we can pack them here with bubble wrap and UPS ship to you. Be forewarned, UPS charges extra to deliver to residences , and now with fuel charges up, surcharges are in effect. If is not possible to quote an exact rate until the item or items are boxed and weighed, or dimensional weight is determined. We will be glad to take a guess as to shipping, but no guarantees can be made that this will be the final amount.
