Magnificent Remington Elliot Ring Trigger .32 Caliber Derringer with Original Box
Manufactured from 1863 to 1888, this nickel plated, four shot, .32 caliber pistol uses a cluster of stationary barrels and a revolving firing pin. The barrels are arranged in a square pattern, with "MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y." marked on the left rib and "ELLIOT'S PATENTS MAY 29, 1860-OCT.1, 1861" on the right side. Blade front and frame notched rear sights. The derringer is functionally a double action only, with the concealed hammer operated entirely by the rear motion of the ring trigger. The grip section is contoured so the butt rests on the ring finger. Matching serial number on the frame and barrels. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips. Complete with an original two piece black box with "ELLIOT'S POCKET REPEATER" directions label affixed to the inside of the lid. There are two original 32 cartridges in the box.
BBL: 3 3/8 inch ribbed

Gauge: 32 RF
Finish: nickel
Grips: rosewood
Serial Number: 22077
Condition: Exceptional. The pistol retains 98% original nickel finish with only some minor muzzle wear, a few small dings on the bottom of the barrels and some light scattered "frosting". The grips are very good with 90% of the original varnish remaining. Loss is a result of the high spots on the right grip moving around in the original box. The markings are crisp and clear. The box is excellent with some minor repairs, fully intact lid label and some stains on the interior. A real opportunity to own one of the finest Remington Ring Triggers in existence.
