Magnificent Japanese royal quality Wakizashi in ornate carved ivory scabbard, with shibayama inlays. Showing cranes, florals, and dragons. The sword measures 23-1/2” overall with real Japanese hand-forged 14-1/2” blade. The inlays are carved in pearl, jade, what appears to be carnelian, and other dyed or colored natural materials. The inlays are 90% intact, some small losses. The dragon shows 3-toes, which is Japanese. The condition is good to very good. The blade has been cleaned incorrectly, showing a few areas of erosion and a temper line. A beautiful example of a desirable Japanese art form that needs small restorations. Est: $1,500 - $3,000+

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
