Cal. 32 Teat-Fire. S# JH34 / 28434. Bbl. 3 1/4" round with brass blade; retained to frame by wedge. Mfg. 1864-1870 by Moore's Patent Firearms Co. and National Arms Co.(approx 30,000 units for all variations); this is last produced variation is by National (approx. 7,000 units) with hooked extractor on right side of frame plus National Firearms markings on barrel and Williamson's patent markings on 6 rd. cylinder. Left side of frame under smooth bird's head walnut grips has "JH34" plus "28484" on underside of barrel. Created as attempt to circumvent Rollin White patent held by S&W and was S&W's main competitor prompting Colt to buy National Arms in 1870. Brass frame with light decorative engraving. CONDITION: good appearance with patina tone throughout; light impact marks on bottom of barrel. Good grips with handling marks (mostly on left). Proper mechanical functioning. Poor pitted bore with barely visible rifling. (01-22151/NW). ANTIQUE. $350-500.
