SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOSLTER. Cal. 9mm L. S# 7696x. Bbl 3 7/8". P.08 Luger manufactured by Mauser during World War II. The receiver is stamped "1941" over the chamber, with an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof stamped above the serial number on the left, and an Eagle/L police acceptance proof stamped on the right. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Frame is mounted with a Schiwy sear safety. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, hold-open latch, receiver, trigger bar, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, toggles, receiver axle pin, as well as the blued "fxo" marked magazine. Grips appear to be matching via a police armory applied number on the interior of the panels. Barrel is unserialized. Rear toggle link exhibits a smooth matte blued finish, MAGS: 1 8 rnd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a brown leather holster stamped "OTTO SINDEL/ BERLIN/ 1941", with the number "2055" on the rear. CONDITION: very good overall, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their period arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, with some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some pinprick spots of light oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting a some spots of mild surface oxidation and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show mild smoothing and some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise good overall. Holster exhibits scattered marks from handling and storage, with some mild spots of light crazing. Closure flap strap exhibits age related cracking and some crazing. (23-2255/MLW).
