Consignor states special features described were performed by the factory. Furstenfeldbruck was air field used by the Germans before and during World War II in Bavaria, Germany; post war, it was used by the US until 1957 when it was given back to Germany. Internet search of Col. Armstrong was fruitless as no time frame or first name was available. CONDITION: very good to excellent appearance having light handling marks around the stock between the floorplate and forend checkering. Some other light handling marks are on the bottom of the stock forward of forend checkering and on toe line (mostly between grip cap and swivel) of the buttstock. Metal finish and bore are near excellent. Very nice rifle in great, noncatalogued caliber. (23-447/NW). CURIO. $6,500-8,500.
