Lot of three pieces of collectible early California documents associated with Adolph Sutro (1830-1898), famous Western miner and early developer of San Francisco who built the Sutro Tunnel, bought the famous CliffHouse and at one time owned 1/12 of the total acreage of the city of San Francisco. One document is a billhead from Sutro, Nevada dated April 30th, 1879 from the Sutro Market to A. Sutro for the purchase of meat; another is a May 14, 1872 Western Union Telegraph Co. wire to Sutro from a Colonel C.W. Brush in Washington, D.C. and a Virginia, Nevada Victor Jones, Foreign and Domestic Wines and Liquors billhead dated June 17th, 1879 forwhiskey to Sutro; all in overall good condition; great early California ephemera.
