Lot of military relics of Colonel Nathaniel P. Ward III. This large grouping of items spans from WW II to the early advisory period of Vietnam. During WW II then Lt. Colonel Ward served with elements of the 1st, 2nd and 4th Armored Divisions in Europe and was Commander of the 637th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the Philippines. There are double buckle combat boots, brown capped toe boots, HBT coveralls, HBT “Ike” jacket, avery nice M41 Parsons jacket with Lt. Col. Insignia and an M43 jacket with an Australian made 1st Cavalry patch among other items. After tours at the Pentagon and General Staff College, Colonel Ward went to Vietnam in1958 and served as Senior Advisor at Ban Me Thuot in the Central Highlands. Several of the khaki shirt and pants sets are extremely rare. There are two stools made from duck baskets and a table made from a fish trapthat were used as furniture at the Bungalow, which was the Advisory Group’s headquarters in Ban Me Thuot. The Bungalow burned down in 1969, so these pieces of furniture the Colonel took back as souvenirs are extremely
