Lot of 6 old Western knives from The Candee Collection. The 1st is a pre-1900 South American or Mexican type with thin steel blade that is engraved and aluminum mounted. 14” overall and the blade is 9 ½”. The condition is fair to good. No. 2 is a typical Mexican style with clipped point, brass Eagle pommel, blade shows an arrow mark and stamped writing that we cannot read. The knife measuring 14 ¼” overall and 9” blade. The grip has been wrapped with woven fiber or thin rope. No. 3 is a Mexican marked relic knife in poor condition and is 12 inches overall. No. 4 is a knife made from a sword blade with bone grip wrapped in hide which is possibly Indian made. Measure 12 ½” overall. No. 5 is a small knife with 5 ½” blade and 9 ½” overall with stag grip and guard and thin steel blade remaining in fair condition. No. 6 is a heavy Bowie knife measuring 14 ¼” overall with a 9 ¾” heavy thick stock blade with clip point. The grip is hide over horn with no markings. Circa 1930s to 1960s has American Indian look and would be great in a beaded scabbard. Keith and Lori Candee Collection. Est.: $300-$600.
