Lot of 2 swords with scabbards including a rare English Edward VIII Infantry Officer’s sword with leather covered scabbard approx. 39-1/2” overall with etched blade and wire wrapped rayskin grip, overall good condition with leather covered metalscabbard; second sword is English Pattern 1822 Officers Light Cavalry sword of the 10th P.O.W.’s Own Hussars No. 18619 (1872); overall good; shows some scattered erosion on blade; old cleaning to metal scabbard, wire wrapped rayskin grip; maker,Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London; initialed on blade, R.D.L. (Richard Drury-Lowe: b. 1849-d.1906). Entered the 10th Hussars as a Lt. in 1872; elder brother of General Sir Drury Drury-Lowe per information provided by consignor. Est.: $400-$800.
