Lot of 2 framed photos of scenes at the Navajo Reservation and at the Warren Trading Post in Kayenta, AZ by Harmon Percy Marble (1870-1945), noted newspaperman, government Indian agent (1911-1926), photographer of Native Americans and later Mayor of Las Vegas, NV. The first photo is approximately 8” x 10” showing an unidentified Navajo woman next to a large woven rug still being completed on its loom. The second framed photo is approximately 5” x 7” showing Navajos of the early 1900’s (notation: “Red Whiskers” and “Dugai Lach” and their dress. Included with this lot is additional information on Marble’s life and photography. Est.: $100-$150.
