London armory manufactured Kerr-patent double-action percussion Civil War era revolver, serial #9200. Brown patina finish, checkered wood grip with ā€œJā€ and Anchor cartouche below tang on inner side of grip.In range issued and listed as Pratt revolvers to Virginia Cavalry where #9240 and several others in the 9,000 range are also identified in the U.S. martial arms collector newsletter, which is included. The revolverremains in fair to good original condition showing a brown patina finish, scattered light to moderate erosion and pitting, some slightly heavier pitting on the firing areas and muzzle. The grips are good with honestwear, good ā€œJā€ and Anchor marking. The markings on the lock are good. The patent and serial number are slightly light. All original small parts retained except one screw, missing from left exposed framespring. The action is cocking but not revolving. Generally good overall with just some normal use and carry. These are considered secondary Confederate arms, and this one in a good serial number range. Est:
